Back to Dubai

Back to school on 31st August but at least we have Rosanna's 5th birthday to look forward to

Opening birthday cards and presents on the morning of the 15th September 2009

I'm a 5 year-old Superstar!

Of all the gifts, Rosanna covets the Madonna wig from the 'Vogue' video more than any other

Lotte is straight back into copious amounts of homework

Rosanna gets to lick the bowl that was full of chocolate cake mix

And also helps with the lunchtime catering

Thanks to Ramadan and a case of tonsilitis that was originally a suspected case of swine flue, the big party is postponed (see in October) so we have a small family celebration

Lotte shows off her latest masterpiece from a classmate's party down at JamJar

Rosanna continues to experiment with sef-expression photography...

'Summer' Holidays in Scotland

The weather was most unlike Dubai but it was great to be back at Taylor's Wynd with Granny & Grandpa, and all the cousins

A proud Granny with her four youngest grandchildren

Lotte gets a cuddle from Cousin Jillie and great aunt Lavender

Rosanna thinks it's great to see Digby again!

A blurred ceilidh is organised to teach the English how to dance properly

Grandpa's 80th birthday lunch - a lovely day but the weather was typically Scottish

The youngsters' table was much more fun than the adults'

Off to The Muirs' in Renfrewshire - Graeme kindly reads Roasanna & Magnus a bedtime story

The 5-year-old humour clearly appeals to some more than others...

Back to Angus and a trip to the River Esk

Lunchtime - oops, for Angus too!

Staying warm on dry land

Nic Noc helps Rosanna brave the icy torrents

Just feet - it's colder than it looks!

Sleep over at Emma Bruce-Gardyne's house, cuddling the new puppies

This is my favourite

Playing with their newly born baby newts

Uncle Dadie's Rab C Nesbitt impression was a big hit with the children

Summer Holidays in England

Two whole months of summer holidays saw the Rolfes set up camp at Umma & Niccolo's house for July. No pictures of some (Mummy!) but we caught up with Aimee, Angelo & Anais, Grandma, Uncle Tim & Jenna, Pops, Trish & Megan. We saw lots of old friends and had a few mini-breaks around England too.

One of the first trips was to the Hunnings to play and bathe with Abbey & Grace in their enormous tub

We stayed the night also in Aubourn to spend time with Cosmo and Rose before heading off to Hereford with the Howards and the Neviles, where we had ice-lollies every day!

Supermum Kate carries Rafe and cuddles Lotte on a rare fine day

Bath time for all!

Back down to Chelsea to regroup and do some dedicated movie-watching with Babo, Ned and Buddy

Then off to Oxford to say hello for the first time to baby Angus (and his older brother)

Rosanna is a big fan of Basil

Cuddling Linda cuddling Angus after not seeing her for ages
